Wuhan, the capital city of central China's Hubei Province, was quiet and cold in February 2020, yet was the topic of hot discussion around the world. 

On January 23, 2020, buses, subways, ferries and other long-distance transport were suspended in Wuhan. The city officially announced lockdown, offering the world a forewarning about the dangers of the virus. Zero new cases were confirmed two months later and 76 days on, Wuhan, a heroic city of 11 million people, lifted its extreme virus control measures and resumed outbound transportation.
