Learning a country's philosophy could be a great gateway to gaining deep understanding of its civilization. That's what David Bartosch told Tian Wei as they had tea in a traditional Chinese courtyard that he frequents in Beijing. The German scholar said Chinese and German masters, particularly Ming Dynasty philosopher Wang Yanming, taught him the big idea behind unity through differences.
