The refugee Olympic team due to compete in the Tokyo Games this month has delayed its arrival to Japan after a team official tested positive for COVID-19 in Qatar, the International Olympic Committee said on Wednesday.
Some 26 of the 29 refugees and 10 of the 11 officials are currently at a training camp in Qatar. The official with COVID-19 has been quarantined and is without symptoms, the IOC said.
