The athletes' village in Tokyo's Harumi's waterfront district officially opened 10 days before the opening of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics under the city's fourth coronavirus state of emergency. In the coming month, the Olympic Village will become one of the most important venues for more than 11,000 athletes and related staff.
