China's Mars rover Zhurong has captured a series of close-range images of its parachute and protective shell on the red planet, according to the China National Space Administration.

In the pictures, the parachute and the burnt yet unbroken protective shell are clearly seen, along with part of the rover. Zhurong was 30 meters away from the shell when the picture was taken, 350 meters away from the landing site.

The cameras on the front and back of the rover captured images of the parachute and shell as the rover moved around.

Zhurong has traveled 450 meters in total and worked for 60 Martian days, about 61.5 days on Earth.
