Phuket has received 5,000 tourists since its reopening

Thailand launched a "sandbox" scheme on July 1, allowing vaccinated travellers to visit the island of Phuket. Under the new expansion, tourists must stay at an approved hotel on Samui for a week and can leave their accommodation on day four. They will have to produce a negative COVID-19 test before being allowed to go to Tao or Phangan after the first week. Martin Lowe tells us about the "sandbox" scheme in Phuket and how it's been implemented.
