A member of the Nigerian Olympics delegation who arrived in Japan on Thursday has been hospitalized with COVID-19, local TV station Asahi reported.

The person, in their 60s, tested positive for the virus at Japan's Narita airport and only has slight symptoms. 

Asahi reported that the hospitalization, the first for an Olympics-related visitor, was due to the individual's advanced age and pre-existing conditions.
