APEC leaders met virtually on July 16 to discuss collective actions to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic impacts. President Xi Jinping said China will provide another $3 billion in international aid in the next three years to support COVID-19 response and economic recovery. China will also finance the setting up of a fund under APEC to fight the pandemic.
