A herd of wandering wild Asian elephants in southwest China's Yunnan Province has been captured taking a mud bath during their stay in Shiping County during the past few days. Experts say this is a way for the elephants to drive away summer heat and prevent bug bites. Having roamed for more than a year, the herd has hinted at traveling southward back to their original habitat in Xishuangbanna.
