The Chinese mainland recorded 33 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, one of which was a local transmission reported in southwestern Yunnan Province and 32 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Sunday.

In addition, 27 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded on Saturday, while 449 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 92,246, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,956 (11,682 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 55 (53 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,390 (12,207 recoveries, 764 deaths)
