COVID-19 restrictions in England are set to end on July 19 as part of the final step of its roadmap out of the lockdown. However, scientists warned that lifting all restrictions at this stage could increase likelihood of dangerous variants. The UK recorded more than 54,000 new cases on July 17, a record-high for the past six months.
