Chinese mainland reports 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The Chinese mainland recorded 31 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Sunday, five of which were local transmissions reported in southwestern Yunnan Province and 26 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Monday.

In addition, 17 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded, while 448 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 92,277, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,958 (11,682 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 55 (53 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,408 (12,243 recoveries, 768 deaths)
