A diving coach recently captured on camera a large school of ferocious barracuda fish near Wuzhizhou Island in Sanya City, south China's Hainan Province.
Large predatory fish, barracudas can grow to 165 centimeters in length and are found in tropical and subtropical oceans worldwide.
The waters near Wuzhizhou Island are home to corals and other marine life and have been hit less hard by global warming than areas nearer the equator.
Since 2011, over 1,500 artificial reefs have been installed to allow more marine life to settle there. This has also allowed corals to expand, attracting more fish species.
