The Chinese mainland recorded 65 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Monday: eight local transmissions reported in southwestern Yunnan Province and 57 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Tuesday.

In addition, 19 new asymptomatic cases, all from overseas, were recorded, while 448 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 92,342, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,958 (11,686 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 55 (53 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,429 (12,268 recoveries, 769 deaths)
