Germany's Chancellor Angela Merkel has visited areas devastated by deadly flooding – described as the worst in living memory. Heavy rains last week sent torrents of floodwater sweeping through towns and villages, mostly in Belgium and Germany, where Merkel was visiting victims in one of the hardest-hit areas.
