Around 1,500 people have been evacuated in Weihui City, central China's Henan Province as of 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, after record rainfall battered the area in recent days.
More than 3,000 people were trapped as downpour led to severe waterlogging at two local villages.
Rescue efforts are still ongoing as local fire department mobilized 28 fire officers and three rubber boats for the affected.
