The HQ-7B is a third-generation short-range air-defense system independently developed and produced by China. It can hit low flying combat units, such as fighters, helicopters and unmanned aerial vehicles. The HQ-17 uses the latest electronic scanning radar and can intercept combat aircraft and cruise and air-to-surface missiles. The HQ-16 is China's most advanced mid-to-high altitude air defense missile system. The HQ-7B, HQ-17 and HQ-16 together form a steel barrier for China's field army.
