A new batch of 1.5 million doses of China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine arrived in the Philippine capital city of Manila on Thursday morning.

The Southeast Asian country has received 16 million doses of the Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine, including one million donated by the Chinese government.

The Philippine government plans to buy 25 million doses of the Sinovac vaccine by the end of the year.
