China's Ministry of Emergency Management has sent rescue teams from at least seven provinces to help central Henan Province in flood relief after the province was lashed by record rainfall starting on Tuesday. /CFP

About 1,800 rescuers were sent to Henan on Wednesday, with 250 vessels, seven drainage vehicles, 11 sets of remote water supply systems and 18,500 pieces of rescue equipment. /CFP
Civil rescue forces also responded. The Beijing Blue Sky Rescue Team, which has deployed a 100-member contingent, rescued a three-month-old baby trapped in ruins for over 24 hours. /CFP
The death toll from torrential rains and floods in Henan has risen to 33, with eight people missing, according to the local emergency management bureau. Since July 16, over 3 million people across the province have been affected by the extremely heavy rainfall. /CFP
