China held a media conference on the COVID-19 origin-tracing study on July 22. Wang Chen, a respiratory specialist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said cold chain in infectious pathways for respiratory disease is a new phenomenon that deserves people's attention. He said that cold chain should be considered as a top priority in the origin studies, given that international trade is increasing the complexity of virus transmission.
