U.S. extends Canada, Mexico border restrictions through August 21

The U.S. government on Wednesday extended the closure of land borders with Canada and Mexico to non-essential travel such as tourism through August 21.

The restrictions have been extended to decrease the spread of COVID-19, including the highly contagious Delta variant, said the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
