34 officials penalized over deadly gas explosion in C China

China has punished 34 government officials, several of them were removed from posts, over the deadly gas explosion in central China's Hubei Province last month.

The blast in a community trade market in the city of Shiyan claimed 26 lives and left 138 injured.
