U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price has said the core of China-U.S. relations is competition. This came as U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman is set to visit China next week.
Beijing has responded to Price's remarks, saying it reflects Washington's arrogance.
