58 dead, 9.3 million affected in China's flood-hit Henan

Torrential rain has affected about 9.3 million people in central China's Henan Province, with 58 reported dead and eight still missing, local authorities said on Saturday.

More than 1 million residents have been relocated to safe places. Rainwater caused a direct economic loss of about 82 billion yuan (about $12.6 billion).
