Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, visited the Nyang River Bridge in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Wednesday to inspect the ecological preservation in the Yarlung Zangbo River basin. The Nyang River, one of the major tributaries of the Yarlung Zangbo River, is lovingly called the "mother river" of Kongpo Prefecture.
