Team China claimed the men's gymnastics team bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics on Monday with 261.894 points, with the Russian Olympic Committee and Team Japan taking first and second place, respectively. 

The Chinese men's gymnastics team have four athletes competing in the all-around team event: Sun Wei, Xiao Ruoteng, Zou Jingyuan and Lin Chaopan. Sun and Xiao participated in all six rotations in the team event. 

The Russian Olympic Committee led throughout most of the competition, while the Chinese squad gradually overtook the Japanese squad on the ranking before the competition ended.

Team China were only 0.6 point behind the leading Russian Olympic Committee before the last rotation started, where Team China and Team Japan competed on the horizontal bar, and the Japanese side gradually pulled away.

The Russian Olympic Committee scored 262.500 points, while Team Japan finished with 262.397.
