Authorities from Nanjing City in eastern China's Jiangsu Province on Monday adjusted COVID-19 risk levels for local areas as it continues to battle a new wave of COVID-19 cases.

The city now has four areas deemed high-risk and 25 others medium-risk for the virus transmission.

Jiangsu reported 39 confirmed and one asymptomatic COVID-19 cases on Sunday, as the second round of mass COVID-19 testing is underway to contain the infections.
