Gaoping Station of Yichang-Wanzhou Railway officially began operation on October 1, 2020. It is a major project to help Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province to eliminate poverty and promote tourism. The station has brought convenience to over 600,000 locals and promoted tourism in the surrounding areas.
