The Chinese mainland recorded 64 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, with 21 being local transmissions and 43 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed Friday.

In addition, 25 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 419 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 92,875, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 11,982 (11,709 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 59 (54 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,637 (12,801 recoveries, 787 deaths)
