Ningxiang, located in Changsha, Hunan Province in China, has a pleasant climate and is rich in vegetation. Ningxiang pigs have been living prosperously on this fertile soil for nearly 1,000 years. As a result, they are now disease-resistant, docile, with a high birth rate, tender and delicious meat, and other advantages, which make Ningxiang pig one of the four top pig species in the country.
