Experts on cause of U.S. labor shortage amid COVID-19

Experts say COVID-19 has caused a mismatch between the jobs available and the jobs people want in the United States, with some industries facing a labor shortage. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, in June there were 9.5 million Americans out of work and looking for a job. At the same time, there were roughly 9.2 million job openings – a record high.
