The U.S. registered over 100,000 daily coronavirus cases on Friday, its highest since February. Health officials say hospitalizations and deaths are increasing across the country. Professor Chen Xi, an expert on Health Policy and Economics from the Yale School of Public Health, said that new surge is caused by delayed response to the Delta variant. He also warned that the surge of infections for unvaccinated people in the U.S. is only a beginning.
