The Delta variant is behind the latest COVID-19 outbreak in central China's Henan Province, local health officials said on Sunday.

Henan recorded one locally transmitted confirmed case and two asymptomatic infections from midnight to 3 p.m. on Sunday, officials said, urging stricter preventive measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
