China and India have agreed to continue dialogue and negotiations to resolve remaining border issues, according to China's Ministry of National Defense.

The 12th round of China-India Corps Commander Level Meeting was held at the Chushul-Moldo border meeting point on the Indian side.

The two sides said the round was constructive and further enhanced mutual understanding, according to a statement from the ministry.

China and India had a candid and in-depth exchange of views over the resolution of remaining areas related to disengagement along the Line of Actual Control in the Western Sector of India-China border areas, the ministry said.

It added that the sides agreed to resolve remaining issues in an expeditious manner, in accordance with the existing agreements and protocols, and maintain the momentum of dialogue and negotiations.

The latest round was held following the meeting of the foreign ministers of China and India on July 14 in Dushanbe and the 22nd Meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on China-India Border Affairs on June 25.
