What are prospects for China-U.S. relations?
CGTN

Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng accused the U.S. of treating China as an 'imaginary enemy' and trying to suppress China during talks in Tianjin with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman. The two countries have continued to clash across a range of fronts in past months since their first high-level meeting in Alaska in March. According to Xie, the China-U.S. relationship is now in a "stalemate" and faces serious difficulties. What are the difficulties? And what are the solutions needed to narrow the differences and come to some common understanding?

To discuss these issues and more, we've invited Victor Gao Zhikai, chair professor of Soochow University; Josef Gregory Mahoney, professor of Politics from East China Normal University; and Rick Dunham, former White House correspondent for Business Week.
