The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) answered the Republic of Korea's (ROK) calls via a radio hotline on Tuesday for the first time since bilateral communication lines were restored last week, Yonhap reported citing officials.

The ROK and DPRK reopened all cross-border communication lines last week, including military hotlines, which were severed over one year ago by Pyongyang.
