White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that the U.S. is not going back to the shutdowns of March 2020 during the daily news briefing on August 2. She said that many people are being vaccinated, and there's been "much progress on the economic front." She also reiterated the words of U.S. President Joe Biden, saying the country will follow science and public health experts, and will not "take options off of the table."
