Jerome Kim, director general of the International Vaccine Institute, told CGTN host Tian Wei that those COVID-19 vaccine manufacturers that got vaccines tested and approved late in 2020 and early in 2021, are now working on vaccines specifically against variants. As early as the end of this year and early next year we might have new vaccines against variants.
