CGTN Nature's documentary crew recently encountered a seemingly grumpy sika deer while filming on Ruoergai Grassland in southwest China's Sichuan Province. 

Sika deer are vigilant and tend to run away quickly when they spot a human. Yet somehow this one made an exception by squealing to the camera and stomping its hoof before disappearing in the woods behind. 

Sika deer live on the edge of forests and mountainous grasslands. The species is under first-class protection in China.
