Zhengzhou, capital of central China's Henan Province, on Friday ordered a stay-at-home order for residents living in areas at medium or high risk of COVID-19 to curb the spread of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
According to officials, the city's bus service has been reduced, while taxis as well as vehicles booked via online car-hailing services are banned from entering medium and high-risk areas or leaving the city.
In addition, gatherings and related activities have been suspended, while food markets and medical facilities will continue to operate at limited capacity.
