China's southeastern coast is battling Typhoon Lupit after it made a second landfall in Zhangzhou City, Fujian Province, at around 4:50 p.m. on August 5, bringing heavy downpours and forcing thousands of people to evacuate. This was just hours after the ninth typhoon this year landed in the city of Shantou, in south China's Guangdong Province, at about 11:20 a.m. August 5.
