China is home to more than 20 percent of the world's population, but has only 10 percent of the world's arable land. For decades, it's been working to roll back expanding deserts in its northwestern parts, such as Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. In this CGTN report, we find out how a tree-planting initiative has transformed one area in Xinjiang's Aksu Prefecture.
