The Chinese mainland recorded 107 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Friday, with 75 being local transmissions and 32 from overseas, the latest data from the National Health Commission showed on Saturday.

In addition, 32 new asymptomatic cases were recorded, while 571 asymptomatic patients remain under medical observation.

This brings the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases on the Chinese mainland to 93,605, with the death toll unchanged at 4,636.

The total number of confirmed cases in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and the Taiwan region is as follows:

Hong Kong: 12,004 (11,724 recoveries, 212 deaths)

Macao: 63 (57 recoveries)

Taiwan: 15,765 (13,018 recoveries, 794 deaths)
