Liqiu (Start of Autumn), the 13th solar term of the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms, represents the beginning of autumn.
This year's Liqiu falls on August 7, which marks the departure of heat and the arrival of cooler days. However, in fact, the hot weather doesn't not end there. The start of autumn is still in a hot period, and it will not be cool until the second solar term of autumn.
In autumn, the wet and hot weather in summer changes to dry weather with little rain in autumn. In nature, the leaves of plants turn lush green to yellow and plants start shedding, while the crops begin to ripen.
Feast your eyes on these fascinating sceneries across China on Liqiu.
