A new coronavirus outbreak caused by the Delta variant has put east China's Jiangsu Province on edge. The capital, Nanjing, has managed to control the situation following five rounds of mass testing. However, Yangzhou is still seeing a high number of new cases. While the local population is less than half that of Nanjing, it has registered more cases than Nanjing since Jiangsu's first case was announced in July.
