Images of endangered Amur leopards were captured by infrared cameras in dense forests in northeast China's Jilin Province for three consecutive days from August 1 to 3. Warning signs have been set up to keep local villagers away from the main areas where the leopards have appeared.

Officials with the forestry administration said the many appearances of Amur leopards in the Tianqiaoling forest district within a relatively short period of time are of great significance to analysis of the key activity areas of Amur leopards in the region.

The Amur leopard, also called the Far Eastern leopard, roams the forests between China and Russia.
