NE China's Heilongjiang raises flood emergency response to Level II

Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has raised its flood-control response from Level III to Level II, local authorities said.

The latest response, the second-highest in the four-tier emergency response system, was activated at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the provincial flood control and drought relief headquarters.

The authorities has warned that the water level in several of the province's rivers has exceeded the warning mark.
