South Africa extended the national state of disaster on Thursday until September 15, according to Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma, the country's Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs.
In a statement, the minister said she considered the "need to continue augmenting the existing legislation and contingency arrangements undertaken by organs of state to address" the impact of the COVID-19 disaster.
