Mudskippers display flamboyant courtship dance to win love
CGTN

Do you know that fish can walk on the land? Not only can they walk, they can also dance! Mudskippers are amphibious fish living in intertidal zones. They have side pectoral fins resembling legs to help them walk or skip from place to place.

During the mating season, the males will develop flamboyant spots on the body to attract females. Besides, the males stage intricate courtship dance, flaring their fins and leaping high into the air, to invite the females to enter their burrows.

On the mudflats in Jiaozhou Bay, east China's Shandong Province, their fights and dances are on display every day.
