U.S. medics: Politicization of COVID-19 hinders pandemic prevention in U.S.

As of August 13, the United States had recorded more than 36.5 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and 620,900 deaths, according to Johns Hopkins University.

The rapidly spreading pandemic has led to shortages of medical resources in many parts of the U.S. Medics in the country's hardest-hit states criticized the government for politicizing the virus.
